Peace

This past January 18th, people all over the world
marched, spoke out, demonstrated, made music . . .
to halt a mad rush toward war
by the Bush Administration.

We are being heard!  Let's keep up the momentum
and let the war lovers know that the people of the world want peace.

Comments from an organizing website:

"The “War on Terrorism” Breeds More Terror
. . . and It’s Un-American, Too!

The White House promises a war without end.
Under the pretext of strengthening security, our democratic rights are being further eroded, hundreds of people have been "disappeared" into jails and prisons, and corporate interests are shamelessly trying to use this crisis to their advantage. . ."

"We must all remain unswervingly focused on the fact that
war is a product.
It is a product of a militaristic mentality,
of a series of oppressive power relationships,
of a desire to . . advance a political ideology,
the belief that extreme violence can provide political solutions and
 perhaps . . to remind us all who’s the boss. . ."
